Beloved Joliet Mom ‘Has Dedicated Her Entire Life’ To Family

JOLIET, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

Of course all mothers are special, but my mother has dedicated her entire life to help me and my siblings with wise words — or tough love when we need it. When I was a teen, I had dreams of being a DJ and on the radio ... My mother sacrificed one of her paychecks to buy me equipment and was there to help me through broadcasting school. My mother deserves an entire year to be thanked for all she has done for our entire family! With her beautiful smile that brightens any room, and her bubbly personality ... my mother truly is one of a kind! I love you mom!

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

Because she, like so many mothers, go unrecognized for all they do. My mom has recently helped our family in many many ways through some of the toughest times and I want her to know how much we love and appreciate her.
