Bicyclist Beaten and Robbed in Random Attack: Cops
The cyclist told police he did not know his attackers.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet man was beaten and robbed while riding his bicycle.
The 58-year-old man was riding his bike on Luana Road near Houston Avenue when a red or burgundy Chevy pulled up to him about 6 p.m. on March 19.
Two men got out of the car, knocked the cyclist off his bike, beat him and took his wallet. The men then got back in the car and took off.
A woman was at the wheel of the getaway car, police said.
The beaten man went to a nearby residence and called the police. He was taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center and received treatment for cuts and bruises to his nose and hands.
