Blues Brothers Con Dedicated To The Late Judy Belushi Pisano
"Judy was with us every step of the way, fighting through her health challenges to assist us with planning and coordination."

JOLIET, IL — The second Blues Brothers Con will be dedicated to the memory of Judy Belushi Pisano, who died earlier this month at 73, organizers announced.
The event, which drew 6,000 people when it debuted in 2022, is scheduled for Aug. 17 at Old Joliet Prison. Actors Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi will attend, reprising roles as The Blues Brothers to benefit the Joliet Area Historical Museum.
“It took patience, grit and determination to see this historic event through,” museum CEO Greg Peerbolte said in a news release. “Judy was with us every step of the way, fighting through her health challenges to assist us with planning and coordination.”

An actress and producer, Belushi Pisano was known for “The Blues Brothers” and “National Lampoon’s Animal House.” She was married to the late John Belushi. She died July 5 of endometrial cancer in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, according to IMDb.
Belushi Pisano performed at the 2022 Blues Brothers Con. The 2023 event was pushed to 2024 in solidarity with the union strikes that sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry last year.

According to the museum, the festival aims to transform the 16-acre historic prison site into a tapestry of sights and sounds to honor the iconic “Blues Brothers” movie — filmed on its grounds — as well as celebrate blues music’s influence on the prison throughout its history.
The evening will be appropriately capped off by a Maxwell Street-style Blues jam session where Aykroyd, Belushi and other “Blues Brothers” alumni will take part in a special encore performance featuring hits from the film. “Blues Brothers” fans can also expect a variety of experiences, appearances and photo opportunities throughout the day.
