Man Rides Bicycle To Burglarize Car In Joliet: Police
Proceeds from the Sherman Street theft were unable to be located at the time of arrest, Joliet Police revealed.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police said Rodolfo Paradez, 30, of Joliet was arrested and released on a notice to appear in court for the crimes of theft from motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. The Joliet man's arrest happened in the middle of the night.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 2:14 a.m. on Sunday, the officers responded to the 500 block of Sherman Street for a report of a theft from a vehicle.
Officers learned that a resident called police after observing a man, later identified as Paradez, inside their vehicle without permission. By the time the resident exited their house, Paradez had already fled on a bicycle, English said.

English said that it is alleged that Paradez entered an unlocked vehicle without permission and took a wallet and money.
A description of Paradez was shared to other officers in the area. A short time later, officers found Paradez at his residence in the 200 block of Oscar Street. Paradez admitted to taking items from the victim’s vehicle and was placed into custody without incident, English pointed out.

He was found in possession of suspected cocaine at the time of his arrest. Proceeds from the theft were unable to be located at the time of arrest, according to police.
