Collins Street Laundromat Violence Involved $20 Bill: Joliet Police
Willy Guerra was at the scene and was placed into custody without incident, Joliet police advised.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department announced that a weekend incident involving violence inside the Collins Street Laundromat has resulted in the arrest of 39-year-old resident Willy Guerra on charges of aggravated battery.
According to police spokesman Dwayne English, at 7:45 a.m. Aug. 2, officers responded to the Collins Street Laundromat at 824 Collins St. for a report of a man striking a woman.
Upon arrival, the officers learned that a man, identified as Guerra, approached a 61-year-old female employee of the laundromat asking for change for a $20 bill. The employee directed him to the change dispenser that dispenses coins. Guerra grew upset as he wanted the change to be in bills, police said. It is alleged Guerra threw the victim’s phone and then punched her in the chest, according to English.

Guerra was at the scene and was placed into custody without incident. The victim declined medical assistance, the police revealed. As for Guerra, he was given his notice to appear in Will County court and released from custody.
