Cop Sent to Settle Down Combative Guy in Ambulance Gets Eyeful of Spit For His Trouble: Cops

The combative man spat in the cop's eye, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A man causing a scene in the back of an ambulance took things up a notch by spitting in a cop’s eye, police said.

The officer was sent to settle down a man who was causing trouble in the back of an ambulance parked near the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Marquette Road Monday.

Antonio Tucci, 22, who lives nearby on Glenwood, was causing a commotion in the ambulance, police said.

When the officer went inside the ambulance, Tucci spat in his eye, police said.

Tucci also allegedly attempted to bite the officer and took a swing at him.

Instead of taking an ambulance ride to the hospital, Tucci ended up going on a trip to the Will County jail.
