JOLIET — Will County Judge Victoria Kinnison determined that 34-year-old Joliet resident Darrius Hayes must remain in the Will County Jail under the SAFE-T-Act after Joliet police raided his apartment in the 700 block of North Raynor Avenue last Friday, retrieving 921 grams of cocaine, according to Assistant Will County State's Attorney Erika Hamer.

Hayes has an extensive Will County criminal history and multiple stints inside the Illinois Department of Corrections for distributing illegal drugs, his court files show.

Prior to his latest arrest, last Friday, Joliet police already obtained a search warrant when they stopped Hayes' four-door Jeep on Clement Street and during the traffic stop, Hayes let the Joliet police know "he was dirty," court records show.
