Joliet Dog Stolen, Woman With Knife Lands In Jail: JPD
At 9:22 a.m., officers responded to the front desk of Joliet's Police Department for a dog theft. Now, Lisa Jones, 56, has been arrested.

JOLIET, IL — A 56-year-old Joliet woman who lives in the 100 block of McDonough Street faces charges of theft and aggravated robbery in connection with the theft of a dog in February.
Over the weekend, Joliet police arrested Lisa Jones and booked her into the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
The incident leading to Jones' latest arrest happened on the morning of Feb. 3.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, officers responded around 9:20 a.m. to the front desk of the Joliet Police Department for a theft of a dog.
While the owner of the dog was out of town on vacation, the dog was left in the care of a relative. On Feb. 3, the person caring for the dog was visiting a residence in the 100 block of McDonough Street. Jones was at the residence and repeatedly asked about the dog, who was in a cage, police said.

According to English, Jones then threatened the victim with a knife while taking the cage that contained the dog.
Detectives investigating this incident secured an arrest warrant for Jones on March 27.
Then, at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, officers placed Jones into custody after seeing her in the 100 block of McDonough Street.
