Drug-Dealing Sex Offender Caught With Crack: Cops

The sex offender and a second man were selling drugs at a Braidwood gas station, police said.

BRAIDWOOD, IL — A drug-dealing sex offender and his pal were caught with crack at a Braidwood gas station, police said.

James Skinner, 35, and Jesse Tucker, 20, were selling drugs at the gas station prior to their arrest about 4 p.m. Wednesday, police said. In addition to crack, Skinner, a Wilmington resident, and Tucker, who lives in Joliet, reportedly had approximately $270.

In December 2008, Skinner pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and was sentenced to six years in prison. Skinner’s victim was 13 years old, according to the state’s sex offender registry, which classifies him as a sexual predator.

Skinner failed to provide his current address to the state and was charged with violating the conditions of the sex offender registry.
