Drunken Driver With No License Crashes On Joliet's East Side: JPD

Roberto Parra, 53, was also cited for having no driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, Joliet police noted.

JOLIET — The Joliet Police Department made at least six DUI arrests over the weekend, and one of those cases involved the arrest of 53-year-old Roberto Parra. The Joliet man was later given a notice to appear in court on two charges of Aggravated DUI, DUI, and DUI-BAC Over .08.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 9:19 p.m. Friday, officers responded to Richards Street and Second Avenue for a crash.

Parra was driving a Buick Century and was believed to have caused a minor rear end crash with another vehicle.

According to police, while speaking to officers, Parra demonstrated behaviors consistent with possible alcohol impairment.

Parra completed field sobriety tests and was placed into custody without incident.

He was also cited for having no driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and his Buick Century was towed from the scene, English said.
