East Joliet Fire Department Battles Overnight House Fire
The fire happened around 12:30 a.m., according to East Joliet deputy fire chief Matt Grohar.

JOLIET, IL — The East Joliet Fire Department responded to Monday's early morning to a house in the 1200 block of Pawnee Street. The entire house was destroyed by the fire. According to deputy fire chief Matt Grohar, the homeowner was not home when the fire happened.
When crews arrived on the scene around 12:30 a.m., the firefighters found heavy fire throughout the house, Grohar said. It took the crews about 20 minutes to have the fire under the control. The cause of the blaze has not been determined.
