The federal search warrant was issued to the U.S. Office of the Inspector General, said Charles B. Pelkie, the spokesman for the state’s attorney’s office.

On Tuesday, Francisco Arcaute, a spokesman from the EPA’s Chicago office, said he was looking into the status of Ohara’s employment and whether the agency was checking his work computers for child pornography.

Ohara’s bond was set at $100,00 when he appeared in court Tuesday afternoon. He remained in custody at the county jail.
