Ex-Con Charged With Body Shop Double Murder

The Bourbonnais man was captured Thursday at a Chicago Heights motel.

JOLIET, IL — An ex-convict captured Thursday at a Chicago Heights motel was charged with killing a Joliet couple at a Cass Street body shop.

William Krasawski, 41, allegedly murdered 48-year-old Michael Oram and his girlfriend, Jamie Wills, 43. Oram and Wills were beaten to death Wednesday inside Fleet Specialty Painting on Cass Near Bissel Street.

The charges were filed Friday afternoon.

Krasawski was an acquaintance of Oram and Wills, said Deputy Police Chief Al Roechner.

Oram’s father owns the body shop where his son and Wills were killed, sources said.

The Joliet police obtained an arrest warrant charging Krasawski with violating his parole and took him into custody Thursday. He refused to come out of his motel room, Roechner said, so the cops went in and got him.

Krasawski’s bond was set at $5 million.

Krasawski was released from prison in August after serving six years for an aggravated vehicular hijacking conviction out of Cook County. He also served prison time for attempted aggravated robbery, aggravated robbery, robbery and theft.
