JOLIET, IL — He’s had a thing for young girls since he was 13. He’d hoped for a romantic relationship with an older man but all they want from him is sex. He hates his dad. He’s angry all the time. He really likes how those tattoos covering his whole face look. And, along with his brother, he fantasized about kidnapping a woman and her daughter, raping the child and killing them both.

He’s Tattoo Face Kiddie Porn Guy — 28-year-old Andrew Castro of Crest Hill — and Patch has obtained the video of his interrogation by police.

Castro and his brother, Levi Castro, 31, were arrested in December 2014 after the cops raided the Theodore Street home where they lived with their parents and found child pornography.

Levi Castro got off with probation by pleading guilty in April 2015. Now his brother has a good chance of joining him out on the street, despite his vile, murderous plans. Will County Judge Sarah Jones has said the kidnapping-rape-killing plot is “irrelevant” to whatever punishment she decides to hand down for his child pornography conviction, and Andrew Castro might very well walk out of jail on probation when he is sentenced next week.

While the evil scheme may be irrelevant when it comes to Andrew Castro's sentencing, one detective said it took an act of God to keep a woman and child from getting killed.

“It just scares the hell out of me that you and your brother were driving down the street and saying, ‘Hey maybe we can get that, I’ve seen a little girl,’” Investigator Rich Wistocki from the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office said during Andrew Castro’s interrogation in December 2014.

Wistocki then invoked divine intervention when he broke down how the two brothers never actually got around to kidnapping or raping any babies.

“That scares me. But at the same time, I think God sent us to your house so that doesn’t happen,” Wistocki said.

While the Castros were driving around and pondering rape and murder, they had a baby seat in the back of their car. Andrew Castro said it was only because his brother wanted people to believe he had a daughter, and not for some more sinister reason.“We just had the car seat to like troll, spam people or whatever,” he said. “He just likes to make people think he has a daughter.”

Andrew Castro wasn’t sure why his brother “likes to pretend he has a daughter,” but suspected that it was “just to, like, f--k with people, I guess. We just like to do that to f--k with people.”

Andrew Castro said he does not have a friend in the world and socialized with no one but his brother, with whom he would download child pornography. Andrew would then screen the videos for his brother to make sure there were no little boys in them.

“He’s like traumatized from him being molested when he was younger,” Andrew Castro explained. “So he doesn’t even want to see it. So I check it first.”

Andrew Castro admitted to his sick attraction to little girls and said it started when he was about 13. But he also told how he yearned for a romantic relationship with an older man, only to find guys who were interested in nothing more than his body.

“That’s why I don’t contact people anymore because all they want to do is have sex, and I was trying to look for a relationship, and that’s all they want to do is have sex,” he said.

A perpetually angry man, Andrew Castro despises his father, whom he called a “coward.”

“We barely even talk,” he said. “It’s been like that our whole life.”

As for his mother, Andrew Castro said he gets along with her but may have told her he tattooed his entire face because he hates himself, which would have been a lie. It was really “'Cause I just like the whole tribal look, and like my ancestors from my dad’s side, they were like Maori and Indian and stuff, and I just like the design,” he said.

In addition to tribal designs, he has something from “Star Wars” inked on his face, since he “just thought it’d go with it.”

Throughout his interrogation, Andrew Castro generally agreed with the cops that he and his brother planned the abduction, rape and murder of a little girl, but he hedged about whether he was ever truly going to go through with it.

“I don’t know. Until we were at that point, I can’t actually say yes or no for that,” he said, adding, “I don’t think I’d actually be able to. I don’t know.”

When it came down to it, he tried to tell the cops, he really didn’t want to hurt anyone.

“I just like messing with people,” he said. “Like, not like, hurting them, or whatever."
