Flung Drumstick Hit Woman in Head, Injuring Her at Taste of Joliet: Lawsuit

She's suing the drummer and the band.

JOLIET, IL — A woman watching a band play at the Taste of Joliet two years ago was injured when the drummer flung his stick into the crowd and hit her in the head, according to a lawsuit filed in Will County court.

Peggy Seymour was hurt by the flying drumstick during a 2014 performance by the band 7th Heaven, the lawsuit said.

7th Heaven opened for Sammy Hagar at the 2014 festival.

Seymour was in the third row when 7th Heaven drummer Michael Vincent Mooshey threw a drumstick into the crowd and hit her in the head, the lawsuit said.

The blow to Seymour’s head caused severe and permanent injuries, the suit said.

In his band bio, Mooshey lists both his best and worst traits as “loyalty.” His influences are Jesus, John Bonham, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
