JOLIET, IL — Joliet Township High School District 204 has announced that community members, families, students, and staff are invited the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the brand-new Culinary Arts facility at Joliet West High School on Friday, August 15 at 3:30 p.m. Guests may park in any available spot and should enter through Door 1, the main entrance off Larkin Avenue.
"This exciting event celebrates a major milestone in educational innovation at Joliet West. The newly constructed Culinary Arts wing includes two state-of-the-art labs and one culinary classroom. Each lab consists of eight student workstations and a teacher’s station—designed to accommodate up to 32 students per class. The culinary classroom is designed with a 'made-for-TV' aesthetic, featuring a professional demonstration kitchen and café-style seating.
"These spaces feature premium, residential-grade appliances such as multi-range gas cooktops, ovens, and an espresso machine, all enhanced by advanced audiovisual systems and integrated demonstration cameras. The new addition provides a future focused learning environment for the culinary program."
