‘Habitual Larcenist’ Nabbed Grabbing Gloves From Dollar Store: Cops
He got out of the store but didn't make it far after that, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A “habitual larcenist” slipped out of a Cass Street dollar store with a pair of stolen gloves but was apprehended a short distance away, police said.
Derrick Ramone Cole, 45, was reportedly carrying a green bag when he dropped into the Family Dollar store shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday.
A clerk asked Cole to leave bag at the register, as per store policy, police said, but he refused and passed her by.

The clerk alerted a manager who reportedly watched Cole select a pair of gloves and place them in his bag.
The manager reportedly confronted Cole about the gloves. Cole then “became belligerent and caused a scene in front of other customers,” police said, and went on to push a shopping cart into the manager.
