Man Hid Cocaine Inside His Buttocks, Crest Hill Dealer Tells Illinois State Police: Prosecutors
Richard Lamont Logan was arrested by the Illinois State Police during a raid in the 1800 block of Wilcox Street in Crest Hill.

JOLIET, IL — A 44-year-old man from Joliet who was arrested in Crest Hill during last week's Illinois State Police drug raid will remain in the Will County Jail pursuant to the SAFE-T-Act after Judge Sherri Hale ordered continued detention for Richard Lamont Logan.
Prosecutors have charged Logan with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and also possession of a controlled substance. The criminal complaint indicates that Logan possessed between 15 and 100 grams of cocaine on Aug. 14.
According to the Will County State's Attorney petition to deny pretrial release, Logan has a pending possession of a controlled substance case from 2021, two different pending 2021 manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance cases and one pending manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance case from 2024.

On Aug. 14, prosecutors outlined, the Illinois State Police raided a house in the 1800 block of Wilcox Street in Crest Hill and Logan was their criminal target. The police saw him leaving the house in a vehicle, and several police cars swarmed around him and detained him.
Logan was taken to the Crest Hill police station and read his rights.

"When questioned about concealing narcotics on or within his person, the defendant 'retrieved a clear plastic bag from his butt,'" prosecutors revealed. "Defendant then stated the narcotics were in his butt crack. The suspected narcotics field tested positive for cocaine, with a presumptive weight of 28 grams."
