Heroin, Cocaine Dealer Captured At Larkin Avenue: Joliet Police
Joliet police conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Maxima near Interstate 80 and the northbound Larkin off ramp for failure to signal.

JOLIET, IL— A 24-year-old Joliet resident of the 800 block of Taylor Street is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police arrested him on two counts of possession of controlled substances and two counts of manufacturing and distribution of cocaine and heroin.
Tuesday night's traffic stop happened near I-80 and Isaiah Martin was the passenger inside the Nissan Maxima.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 7:31 p.m., Joliet police pulled over the Nissan Maxima near Interstate 80 and the northbound Larkin off ramp for failure to signal. Derrick Rodgers, 33, of Joliet was the driver and Martin was a passenger.

After pulling the two young men over, Joliet police saw a pipe used for smoking cannabis in the cupholder, according to English. During the search of the car, Joliet police recovered the cannabis pipe and suspected cocaine and cannabis from a satchel bag located on the front passenger floorboard of the seat where Martin was seated.
Officers recovered additional suspected heroin and cocaine after searching Martin. Martin was placed into custody without incident, police said. Rodgers was cited for improper use of turn signal and released.
