Heroin Dealer Nabbed After 5-Month Investigation: Cops

Braidwood cops and DEA agents caught the man with six bags of heroin, police said.

The Braidwood cops and the Drug Enforcement Agency teamed to take down a Coal City heroin dealer, police said.

The Thursday afternoon arrest capped a five-month investigation by the local police and agents from the DEA.

The target of the investigation, 31-year-old Daniel Pogliano, was taken into custody near his home on North Will Road.

Pogliano was holding six bags of heroin when he was captured, police said.

“We’re continuing the progressive, proactive enforcement that the mayor directed the police department to do,” said Braidwood Police Chief Nick Ficarello.

The Will County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Braidwood police and DEA in the arrest of Pogliano.

According to police, Pogliano has three separate pending felony drug cases in Livingston County.
