House, Passing Car Hit by Bullets on the Hill

Numerous shots were fired on the Hill Wednesday evening but there were no reported casualties aside from a house and a car.

Officers were sent over to California Avenue near Garvin Street shortly after 7 p.m. to investigate a report of six shots fired. The officers were then told of shots fired closer to the Fairmont projects.

A house near the corner of Fairview Avenue and Juniper Street had been hit by bullets, police said. A woman later called and told officers her son was driving his car near the same intersection when it was shot in the driver’s side door and the driver’s side taillight.
