Bolingbrook Husband Killer Locked Up Again For Alleged Incident in Oswego
She was caught with suspected cocaine and pot prior to her sentencing, according to court papers.

JOLIET, IL — A Bolingbrook woman free on bond while she awaits sentencing for plunging a knife into her husband’s chest was locked up again.
Michele Evans, 52, was jailed after appearing in court Thursday.
In April 2015, Evans was arrested and charged with first-degree murder for killing her husband, 55-year-old David Evans. In February, she pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree murder and might get off with probation when she is sentenced.

Michele Evans posted a $1 million bond for her release from the Will County jail a month after she killed her husband. She failed a test for cocaine in October and ended up back in jail for a month and a half.
Michele Evans was put back in jail again Thursday in connection with an alleged April 13 incident in Oswego.

The Oswego police were sent to a McDonald’s on Douglas Road to investigate a report of a suicidal person, according to a motion filed by prosecutors. That suicidal person was Michele Evans, the motion said. She was sitting in a car, according to the motion, and police found suspected cocaine, pot and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
“She was transported to the hospital for an evaluation and lab results are pending to determine whether formal charges will be filed,” the motion said.
Michele Evans is scheduled to return to court Friday for a hearing on her incarceration.
Twice since her release, Michele Evans petitioned for protective orders against a man who moved into her marital home with her after her husband’s death. She accused this man, 54-year-old John Hollyfield, of menacing her and holding her “hostage.”
“Over the last month that John has moved in with me, he has become verbally and physically abusive to me,” Michele Evans said in one of her petitions. “He will throw things, he has picked up my crutch and waived (sic) it at me threatening me with it.”
