Jailed On Child Porn Case, Joliet Man Now Charged With Raping Child
The 66-year-old man raped a child over the course of nearly two years, according to a criminal complaint.
JOLIET, IL — A Joliet man arrested and jailed four months ago for allegedly possessing child pornography was charged Thursday with raping a child over the course of nearly two years.
Carl Turley, 66, was already locked up on the child pornography and gun charges he was arrested for in September.
Turley raped a girl who was younger than 13 between July 1, 2011, and April 30, 2013, according to a criminal complaint on file in Will County court. He faces charges of predatory criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Turley’s bond was set at $2.5 million for the child pornography case. His bond for the rape charges was set at $500,000.
