Jitterhead Breakfast Brunch & Coffee Replacing Crusade Burger Bar
Jitterhead will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It is located in the Renwick Plaza for Crest Hill near Renwick and Weber.

CREST HILL — Several months after the Crusade Burger Bar closed its second location, the one in Crest Hill on Renwick Road, a new restaurant concept is about to open here. The owners of the Juicehead in Yorkville are bringing Jitterhead Breakfast Brunch & Coffee to Crest Hill and the Joliet and Romeoville area.
Jitterhead is not affiliated in any way with downtown Joliet's popular long-time coffee house called Jitters, which is owned and operated by the Duffy family.
Megan Diaz is the owner of Jitterhead Brunch.

According to Diaz, she is aiming to have Jitterhead open before the end of April, or by Mother's Day, at the latest. She wants everyone to know that Jitterhead is family owned and family operated. The team includes her husband plus her sister, and Diaz said her mother and her stepfather are investors.
"We are family owned and run," Diaz emphasized.

Located in the Renwick Plaza on Renwick Road near Weber Road, Jitterhead will be open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Jitterhead will serve breakfast and lunch, and there will be several specialty house blend coffees available for pickup and go orders.

Diaz said the name for her new Crest Hill restaurant, Jitterhead, is derived from one of the smoothie drinks on her menu at her Yorkville café, which is called Juicehead smoothies & coffee.
In addition to offering several homemade cold-brewed coffees in Crest Hill, Jitterhead will be carrying Americano, lattes and espressos.
Jitterhead will also offer "coffee flights," allowing customers to sample four different types of coffees on one of their drink flights, Diaz said.
As for the breakfast selections, Jitterhead will carry "farmhouse potatoes" instead of traditional hash browns. There will be fruit plates with a sweet cheese dip. The breakfast menu will offer pancakes, French toast, waffles, omelets, sandwiches, salads and wraps as well as Acai bowls, which are thick smoothie bowls that include several toppings such as fruits, banana, granola and peanut butter.
"We will be doing potato bowls instead of skillets," Diaz said.
The menu will also include charcuterie boards as well as mini pancakes and fruits.
Diaz said that Jitterhead plans to obtain a liquor license from Crest Hill to offer Bloody Marys, Mimosas and cocktails, particularly for private parties and larger events. A side room inside Jitterhead will be able to accommodate 50 people, she said.
On Thursday, long-time Crest Mayor Ray Soliman notified Joliet Patch that the city is pleased about that Jitterhead will fill the Crusade Burger Bar vacancy.
"I am very excited and looking forward to the rebranding of this new business," Soliman informed Joliet Patch. "I know that the (morning to mid-afternoon) business model is very popular and will be a tremendous asset to this strip mall. The group has been working hard, and I believe many people will enjoy the new variety of breakfast and lunch options that will be available to meet their appetites at Jitterhead. I wish them much success in this new endeavor."
