Joliet Ambulance Sent To Richards Street, Rockdale Man Taken Away By Joliet Police Officers

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department sent several officers and the Joliet Fire Department sent a crew of paramedics to a domestic disturbance that happened early Wednesday morning in the 1000 block of Richards Street. As a result of the emergency, Joliet police took 36-year-old Rockdale resident Jeffrey Cushing away from the residence and brought him to the Will County jail on a domestic battery charge.

According to police spokesman Dwayne English, at 12:59 a.m., officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Richards Street because Cushing allegedly pushed a woman down during an argument. Cushing was on the scene and was placed into custody without incident.

A Joliet Fire Department ambulance responded to the scene; however, medical attention was declined, according to police.

Cushing was processed at the Joliet Police Department and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility, English told Joliet Patch.

The Will County Jail logs indicate that Cushing resides in the little town of Rockdale. He comes from the 100 block of Anita Street. He remained in his jail cell as of 5 p.m. Thursday.
