Jared Haberman, 42, has been freed from the Will County Jail because burglary is not one of the detainable crimes under the SAFE-T-Act.

JOLIET, IL — This week, the Joliet Police Department arrested Jared Haberman, a 42-year-old Chicago man, in connection with three different burglaries that happened on Joliet's west side back in late October.
According to police spokesman Dwayne English, on October 26, at 5:46 p.m., the officers responded to a home in the 700 block of North Reed Street for a delayed burglary report. A male burglar was captured on video shortly after 2 a.m. that morning stealing tools from multiple vehicles and an attached garage after arriving in the area in a vehicle, according to the arrest report.
The burglar was seen entering an unlocked pickup truck parked in the driveway and taking multiple power tool batteries. From there, the burglar entered a garage and left with more items before returning to his vehicle and driving south on Reed Street toward Mason Avenue, Joliet police revealed. A work van parked on Mason Avenue was later found to have additional tools missing as well.
