Joliet Central Security Threatened By Man With Black Handgun: JPD
A male driver of a silver car near the Walgreens exit began to continuously honk his horn at the victim, Joliet police noted.

JOLIET, IL — A 30-year-old motorist who Joliet police say developed road rage near the Joliet Central High School campus property and pointed his black handgun at a Joliet Central security guard nearly two months ago has been captured and booked into Will County's Jail.
On Friday, Kevin Ladson, who comes from the 500 block of North Center Street, was taken to the Will County Jail where he faces two charges, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the incident happened back around 8:35 a.m on Jan. 19.

The following events led to Ladson's arrest last Friday, according to English:
- Joliet police responded to the 300 block of East Cass Street for a disturbance. A male Joliet Central High School security employee was driving northbound on Herkimer Street approaching Cass Street stopped in heavy traffic in a school owned vehicle.
- At this time, a male driver of a silver vehicle near the Walgreens exit began to continuously honk his horn at the victim due to the security vehicle blocking the exit of the Walgreens parking lot while in traffic. The suspect drove into the oncoming lane of Herkimer Street alongside the victim’s vehicle and threatened the victim with a black handgun.
- The victim drove away from the suspect. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the culprit.
- Following an investigation, detectives identified Ladson as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for Ladson on February 28.
Then, while most of Joliet was sound asleep last Friday, Ladson was taken into custody after turning himself in at the Joliet Police Department around 1:20 a.m.
