Joliet Child Pornographer Captured By Illinois State Police: Press Release

He comes from the White Birch Lane apartment units on Joliet's west side, over near Glenwood Avenue.

JOLIET, IL — The Illinois State Police issued a press release on Thursday announcing the arrest of 35-year-old Joliet citizen Marty Johnson for two counts of possession of child pornography. Johnson lives on the west side in the White Birch Lane apartment units.

According to the announcement, ISP special agents began an internet crimes against children investigation in the Joliet area and identified the suspect as Johnson. In February, special agents interviewed Johnson and collected evidence of child sexual abuse materials.

After a thorough investigation, ISPsaid it presented the case to the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office and the two child pornography charges were approved. On Wednesday, ISP special agents arrested Johnson and took him to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
