Joliet Man Threatens To Shoot Up City Hall After Getting Angry On Phone: Police
A Joliet detective investigating this incident obtained an arrest warrant for two counts of harassment by telephone for Durr on October 3.

JOLIET, IL — Lawrence Durr, the 58-year-old Joliet man who stands accused of two charges of telephone harassment, has been released from the Will County Jail after three days in custody.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, on September 30, at 11:43 a.m., it is alleged that Durr made a phone call to Joliet City Hall in which while speaking to a female city hall employee, he became irate throughout the call and eventually made a statement in which he threatened to come to City Hall with a handgun and shoot people.
A detective investigating this incident obtained an arrest warrant for two counts of harassment by telephone for Durr on October 3. Durr was placed into custody without incident at his residence in the 200 block of North Hickory Street at 7:27 a.m. on October 4.

Durr was processed at the Joliet Police Department and was then transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
