JOLIET, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?
My Mom is extra special because she works hard to help her children and grandchildren. She is there for everyone when it counts. She is in her 60s and still works hard. To know her is to love her.
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
She deserves the spotlight because she had endured some hardships throughout life and recent medical setbacks, but through it all she pushes forward for others.
