Speedway Gas Station Employee Violently Attacked By Woman Looking For Her: Police

Miranda Duncan, 23, was processed at the Joliet Police Department and released on a notice to appear in court.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department revealed that 23-year-old Joliet resident Miranda Duncan was arrested early Monday morning on charges of battery following a violent attack at the Speedway gas station at 1621 West Jefferson Street.

The incident happened at 2:57 a.m.

According to police spokesman Dwayne English, the officers responded to the Speedway gas station for a fight. A woman, later identified as Duncan, entered the store and allegedly grabbed an employee by the hair and dragged her in an aisle of the store, English said.

Officers learned that Duncan knew the victim and had come to the store to fight the victim in the past.

Duncan was placed into custody. The victim was not injured.
