JOLIET, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

What makes your mom extra special?
My mom is extra special because she gets up every day to work to take care of me and my brothers and sister. Even on the days she is tired, she still gets up and makes it all happen for our family.
Why do you feel your mom deserves the spotlight?
Because she will go beyond for the people she loves the most.
