Joliet Mom A 'Real-Life Super Parent' Who Does It All, Family Says
Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to shine a light on awesome moms in the Joliet area. Meet Julie Bennett.
JOLIET, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.
This submission comes from Timothy Provancal who nominated Julie Bennett of Joliet.
What makes this mom extra special?
She is an absolutely amazing, compassionate and selfless mom and stepmom to four kids, one of whom is autistic and another who has ADHD. She’s pregnant with our fifth and if you count me (her boyfriend) that basically makes six. She is currently in her second trimester with baby number five and is working full-time as a patient coordinator and phlebotomist at a fertility clinic. Even after working up to 50 hours a week, she still manages to be a devoted mother while cooking amazing dinners almost every night, keeping her household clean and functioning, handling her family’s finances and still has enough love and energy leftover for her eight fur babies (four dogs, two cats and two rabbits!) She also helps out her own mother who now lives in Indiana by taking her to appointments and caring for her after surgeries.
She is the glue that holds our family together and we couldn’t do it without her. No matter how tired or sick she may be, she still always puts her family first. She is a real-life super mom. I don’t know how she manages to juggle everything without losing her mind but she always does and never complains. She is my rock and I appreciate her more than words can explain, so she definitely deserves a shoutout and some love!

Why do you feel this mom deserves the spotlight?
She works so hard and is so dedicated to her family. She needs to know just how much we appreciate her and how absolutely grateful we are for everything she does for us, no matter how big or small. We see you, Jules, and we are beyond thankful. She deserves recognition for how wonderful she is. We are so proud to call her Mom!
