Joliet Police And ATF Make Drug, Firearms Arrests
Police were working with the ATF while executing a search warrant in Joliet. They arrested two on drug and gun charges.
JOLIET, IL — Joliet police made two arrests Wednesday, July 10, while executing a search warrant in the 2100 block of Plainfield Road in Crest Hill. They were working with the Chicago division of the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agency.
Around 5 a.m. that day, police went into the residents on the search warrant and found Jazmin Quinonez, 26, and Trebiel Smith, 25, both of Joliet. Both were taken into custody without incident.
Police found over a pound and a half of suspected marijuana, drug equipment, drug packaging equipment, three firearms, different types of ammunition and multiple firearm magazines. One of the guns had its serial number defaced, police say.

According to police, they also found a semi-automatic rifle in a residence in the 1100 block of Cypress, alongside ammunition, but didn't give details as to how the two residences were connected.
Quinonez was charged with armed violence and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.

Smith was charged with armed violence, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, defacing identification marks on a firearm and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
