Joliet School District 204: Summer School Enrollment Closes March 26

Programs are open students looking to advance their learning, or for students who failed a course during the year.

Dear Parents and Students,

JTHS offers two Summer School Programs. Transportation is provided. Enrollment for Session 1 Advancement and Semester 1 Recovery closes March 26.

Summer School (Advancement) for students who want to take additional classes to advance their learning and/or make room for more classes in their schedule next year.

  • Students earn a letter grade on their transcript and the enrollment fee is $160 per session for families without free/reduced waiver.
  • Two sessions are offered, and students should take both sessions if the course is year-long class.
  • Depending on the course, some classes are hybrid and others are online. Classes are held Monday-Thursday OR Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Session 1: June 7 – June 24/25. Session 2: July 5 – July 22/23.
  • March 26 is the last day to enroll in Session 1. Enrollment for Session 2 takes place from April 12 to June 10.

Summer School (Credit Recovery) for students who a failed a core course(s) required for graduation and want to get back on track.

  • There is no cost to attend, and students can take more than one class at a time. Students will earn a Pass or Fail on their report card. Classes take place in a hybrid format Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 7-July 22.
  • Enrollment ends March 26 for semester 1 courses. Enrollment re-opens in May for Semester 2 courses.
