Joliet Teen Shot Several Times Fighting For His Life: Cops

The 18-year-old was rushed to Silver Cross Hospital where he remains in critical condition. The shooting happened at 7:52 p.m.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet teenager was struck by several bullets on Sunday evening along Ohio Street near Landau Avenue.

The teenager is fighting to survive. He's in critical condition, according to Joliet police. As for the shooter, he got away before Joliet police converged upon the scene.

Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the teen was shot at 7:52 p.m. Officers provided medical assistance until paramedics from the Joliet Fire Department arrived in their arrival to transport the victim to the nearest hospital.
