Joliet's Kidz Fest Returns This Weekend: Food And Beverages Will Be Available

JOLIET, IL The Joliet City Center Partnership is excited to announce the return of Downtown Joliet Kidz Fest on Saturday, August 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year’s event will take place outside the Will County building at 302 N. Chicago Street, with Chicago Street closed from Jackson to Benton to accommodate the festivities.

Kidz Fest is a free, family-friendly event offering a wide range of activities for children of all ages, including:

  • Touch-a-truck exhibit
  • Pony rides
  • Magic shows
  • Face painting
  • Bumper cars
  • Inflatables
  • Back to school giveaways
  • Crafts, games, and more

In addition, Will County’s Health Department will host Health Row, working with Will Grundy Medical Clinic to provide valuable services such as health and dental screenings and immunizations for the entire family.

D’Arcy Buick GMC proudly serves as the presenting sponsor of this year’s event. Other sponsors include Austin Tyler Construction, ComEd/Surge Staffing Solutions, V3 Companies Ltd, AMS Industries, Inc., Old National Bank, and Physicians Immediate Care. Over 40 vendors will be on-site offering interactive activities, temporary tattoos, crafts, and other engaging experiences.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase from on-site vendors and participating downtown restaurants.

Free parking is available at:

  • Joliet Junior College lot (235 N. Chicago Street)
  • Renaissance Center lot (214 N. Ottawa Street)
  • Downtown street parking
  • “Kidz Fest will continue to shine a light on our family-friendly businesses in the downtown,” said Vicki Sanchez, Marketing and Events Manager for the City Center Partnership. “This event provides free, interactive, and fun activities for children while also promoting all the area has to offer.”
  • Kidz Fest is one of many community events organized by the Joliet City Center Partnership, aimed at supporting downtown businesses and fostering community pride among Joliet residents and visitors.
