Kid-Recording Grade School Custodian Freed From Jail: Cops

He spent a night in jail before he was released.

CREST HILL, IL — The grade school custodian arrested Monday night on a charge of recording girls in a locker room spent only one night in jail before he was freed.

Ryan Thompson, 27, was released on a $25,000 bond. Thompson faces a felony charge of unauthorized video recording.

Thompson was arrested after officials learned that he had “material on a device that was unlawful,” said Crest Hill Police Chief Ed Clark.

That material was videos of girls changing in a Chaney Monge locker room, according to a court filing.

The videos were found on Thompson’s work cell phone, the filing said, which noted that the students were “fully clothed” in the recordings.
