Larry Walsh Pulls Ahead Of Jim Lanham In 86th District: Results

Republican challenger Jim Lanham sought to unseat Larry Walsh Jr. as representative of Illinois's 86th District.

JOLIET, IL — Voters took to the polls Tuesday to decide whether Democratic incumbent Larry Walsh Jr. would remain the representative for Illinois's 86th District or if Republican challenger Jim Lanham would unseat him. According to the unofficial totals, Walsh easily held off Lanham in his bid to remain in office.

Polls closed at 7 p.m. in Illinois.

The 86th District includes parts of Joliet, and other towns such as Elwood, Channahon and Shorewood. Larry Walsh Jr. is seeking re-election.
