Latest Shooting Victim Not Cooperating With Police: JPD
Officers conducted a canvass of the area and located spent shell casings at the scene.

JOLIET — While most of the city was sound asleep in bed, the overnight shift of the Joliet Police Department and the Joliet Fire Department were responding to an east side shooting.
According to police spokesman Dwayne English, Joliet's latest shooting happened Saturday, around 2:20 a.m. in the 300 block of Wilson Avenue.
Officers found a 29-year-old man who had a gunshot wound to his right leg.

Officers rendered medical assistance to the victim until the arrival of Joliet Fire Department paramedics. The man was brought to Silver Cross Hospital by the Joliet Fire Department. The injury was considered to be non-life threatening.
However, the victim refused to cooperate and provide any further information, English said. Police believe the victim was near a vehicle when he was shot. The vehicle was struck by the gunfire. Officers conducted a canvass of the area and located spent shell casings at the scene.
