Liar Twice Told the Law His House was Burglarized: Cops

He allegedly called the cops twice in less than two weeks to lie about break-ins.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A Romeoville man called the cops twice in 11 days and lied about somebody breaking into his house, police said.

David Muzzey, 56, faces two counts of disorderly conduct in connection with his alleged false reports to the law.

Muzzey first called the Will County Sheriff’s Department and claimed his Jacquie Avenue home had been burglarized on June 7, then went ahead and did it again on June 18, according to a criminal complaint on file in Will County court.

The complaint was filed Wednesday. The warrant for Muzzey’s arrest carries a $10,000 bond.
Muzzey failed to respond to a voicemail message left at his listed number.
