Litterbug Pushed Down Older Man Who Told Him to Pick Up His Trash: Cops

He threw a bag of garbage out of a car, police said, and the older man told him to pick it up.

LOCKPORT, IL — A Homer Glen man pushed down an older man who told him to pick up his trash outside Walmart, police said.

Jason Drobick, 34, was arrested Thursday night and booked into the Will County jail on two counts of aggravated battery.

Drobick was riding by Walmart Aug. 2 when he tossed a bag of garbage out of the car, police said.

A 64-year-old man coming out of the store called out to Drobick to pick up his trash, said Police Chief Terry Lemming.

Drobick reportedly apologized to the man, who is a retired Lockport public works employee. The man responded by again telling Drobick to pick up his garbage, according to police.

Drobick then got out of the car and shoved the older man to the ground, police said.

Drobick’s bond was set at $100,000.
