Lockdown! Stateville Housing Unit on Lockdown During Probe
There is limited movement in the housing unit.
CREST HILL, IL — A Stateville Correctional Center housing unit was on lockdown Friday.
“One housing unit at Stateville Correctional Center is on Level 4 lockdown, with limited movement, while the IDOC investigates an incident involving several offenders,” said Department of Corrections spokeswoman Nicole Wilson.
Stateville is the only facility in the Illinois Department of Corrections currently on lockdown, according to the department’s website.
