JOLIET, IL — A fight between neighbors on the city’s west side ended with one hitting another with a rock and then getting Maced in the face, police said.
Matthew Iwinski, 19, not only took a dose of Mace but also landed in the Will County jail Sunday night.
Iwinski swung a rock at his 24-year-old neighbor’s head outside their homes on Green Trails Drive, police said. The neighbor reportedly raised his arm to block the rock and succeeded in doing so — instead of hitting the man’s head, the rock got him in the arm, opening a gash, police said.

The wounded man then produced a can of Mace and sprayed Iwinski in the face, police said.
