'Major Crash' Closes Route 59, Caton Farm: Joliet Police
Drivers were asked to find alternate routes.
JOLIET, IL — An accident that police were describing as a "major crash" shut down the intersection of Route 59 and Caton Farm road Sunday morning, Joliet police said.
The intersection was closed in all directions.
Police posted an alert about the crash just before 6 a.m., urging motorists to seek alternate routes and saying officials believe "the roadway will be closed for a significant amount of time."
