Jack In The Box Opens: Joliet City Council Votes On 2nd Storefront For City Of Champions
According to Ruddy, the building will be remodeled along with other site improvements.

JOLIET, IL — On Monday, the Joliet Jack in the Box restaurant finally opened on Route 59. Meanwhile, City of Joliet Public Works Director Greg Ruddy issued a memo in preparation for Tuesday night's Joliet City Council meeting, letting everyone know that Jack in the Box now wants to have at least two restaurants in Joliet, not just the one on Route 59.
According to Ruddy, on July 2, the Department of Public Works received a request for a drive thru facility for a proposed Jack in the Box Restaurant at 2307 Jefferson Street. The restaurant will be located on the site of the former Arby’s Restaurant and most recently Amigeaux’s Restaurant.
Accordg to Ruddy, the building will be remodeled along with other site improvements. The City’s Planning Division has reviewed the preliminary site plan and has no remaining outstanding items.

"Upon final investigation, the Department of Public Works has determined that there is sufficient storage on the site and therefore recommends approval of the drive thru permit subject to approval of the final engineering plans," Ruddy wrote. "It is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the Drive Thru Permit for a Jack in the Box Restaurant at 2307 Jefferson Street."
Meanwhile, Jack in the Box opened for the first time on Monday at the former Arby's. People often mistake that location as being in Plainfield or Shorewood. But it's not. It's part of the city of Joliet.
