Murder In Morris: Autopsy Findings Reveal Woman, 62, Died In Homicide

MORRIS — Grundy County Coroner John Callahan issued a press release on Friday morning providing new details in regard to the death of 62-year-old Alison Findley, the Morris woman who went missing in August.

According to the coroner: Findley was reported missing on Aug. 30 and her body was found the same day in a wooded area off Twilight Drive.

Following the forensic autopsy, toxicology, forensic anthropology exam and a coroner's investigation, Callahan announced that he has ruled Findley's death a homicide. The cause of her death is blunt force trauma and penetrating neck trauma suffered during an attack, the coroner noted.

"This brings the coroner's death investigation to a close," Callahan noted. All reports and findings are being forwarded to the Morris Police Department.

Callahan's announcement means there's a killer on the loose, and it's now up to the Morris Police Department to make an arrest.
