JOLIET, IL — The Will County State's Attorney's Office has filed two felony charges against Joliet 25-year-old Devin Grizzle in connection with a motor bike incident about three weeks ago along the Joliet Iron Works gravel trail on the northern edge of the city's downtown.
This week's criminal complaint against Grizzle charges the young man with two counts of aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer. David Barrios, the deputy police chief with the Will County Forest Preserve Police District, filed the criminal complaint.
On Aug. 20, Grizzle operated a Honda motorbike along the Iron Works Forest Preserve walking trail in Joliet and having been given a visual or audible signal, namely overhead lights and or audible siren, "directing said driver to bring his vehicle to a stop, willfully failed or refused to obey such direction and such flight or attempt to elude .... caused damage in excess of $300 to property," the complaint reads. The second felony for Grizzle indicates the Honda motorbike rider "involved the disobedience of two or more official traffic control devices."
