Boy, 11, Joliet Motorcyclist Airlifted To Chicago's Hospitals: Joliet Police
The driver of the Corvette, a 78-year-old Joliet resident, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Silver Cross Hospital.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police announced that a 42-year-old Joliet motorcyclist suffered serious life-threatening injuries after crashing into a Corvette over the Labor Day weekend. An 11-year-old boy riding in the Corvette also suffered life-threatening injuries.
According to the police, at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Joliet Police officers responded to the 700 block of Cass Street for the crash involving a Corvette and a motorcycle.
The Corvette had been traveling westbound on Cass Street when it tried to turn left into a gas station. A motorcycle traveling eastbound struck the passenger side of the Corvette. The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old Joliet resident, was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Silver Cross Hospital and later flown to Loyola Hospital for advanced treatment.

The driver of the Corvette, a 78-year-old Joliet resident, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Silver Cross Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. A juvenile passenger in the Corvette suffered life-threatening injuries. The child was transported to Silver Cross Hospital and subsequently airlifted to Lurie Children’s Hospital for further medical care.
The Joliet Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene. Eastbound lanes of Cass Street were closed for approximately three and a half hours while the crash was investigated.
