Obituary: Jacob A. Bulanda

The 24-year-old passed away unexpectedly.

Jacob Andrew Bulanda, 24, of Coal City, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL.

He was born on July 15, 1991 in Chicago Heights, IL. to Mark Bulanda and Susan (Rolniak) Bulanda. He attended Plainfield Elementary school and graduated from Gardner High School. He was a car lot manager for Ultimate Rides in Coal City. Jacob was a very easy going and happy person. He had a contagious smile. He was very family oriented. He had changed his life around for God and said that he wanted to be a “Positive Musician.”

He is survived by his father Mark of Mazon; his mother Susan of Braceville; two brothers Nick Bulanda of Coal City and Alex (Katelin) Bulanda of Joliet; a nephew Xander Bulanda; grandmothers Judy Rolniak of Sauk Village and Diane Bulanda of Lowell, IN.; his girlfriend Kirsty Ulivi of Coal City and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Joseph Rolniak and Joseph Bulanda.

Memorials may be made to Jacob’s family for disbursement at a later date.

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church (Rt. 113 west of Coal City) with Pastor Michael Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at Braceville/Gardner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Road and Ferrari Drive, Coal City)
